Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Ascend, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age and account requirements set by Apple’s App Store in your region to download and use Ascend.
Description of Service
Ascend is a nutrition tracking application that helps you track calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients, including through an AI-assisted food scanner. Ascend is a wellness and informational tool, not a medical device or service — see the Health & Nutrition Disclaimer.
Subscriptions & Billing
Some Ascend features require a paid subscription, billed and managed through the Apple App Store. Ascend offers the following automatically renewing subscription options:
- Monthly Plan — $9.99 per month
- Annual Plan — $59.99 per year
- Free Trial — 7 days for eligible new subscribers
If you begin a free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to the selected paid plan at the end of the 7-day trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm your purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings — see Manage Subscription. Pricing, billing frequency, trial length, and renewal terms will also always be shown to you by Apple before you confirm a purchase.
AI-Generated Content
Nutrition estimates produced by Ascend’s AI food scanner are estimates only and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and, where needed, correcting any AI-generated entries before relying on them.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Ascend or this website, including by submitting false information, attempting to access non-public parts of the service, interfering with normal operation, or using automated tools to scrape or abuse the service.
Intellectual Property
Ascend, the Ascend name, logo, and all associated app and website content are the property of Ascend and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties
Ascend and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ascend is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or this website.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Ascend for violations of these terms. You may stop using Ascend, and request account deletion, at any time.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Ascend will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, except where applicable consumer protection laws or other mandatory laws provide otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of Ascend after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
